Domaine de recherche et d’Innovation Majeur (DIM) BioConvergence pour la Santé - Call 2024 - II / Post-doc Allocations for synthetic biology approaches for Health
BioConvergence for Health (BioConvS) is a "Major Research and Innovation Domain" (DIM) initiative by the Ile-de-France Region aimed at structuring the communities of synthetic biology, biotherapy, and bioproduction, to support the transition from scientific excellence to innovation, and position the Île-de-France region as an international reference in the field.
BioConvS is led by Université Paris Cité in partnership with Sorbonne Université, Institut Curie - PSL, Institut Micalis (INRAe, AgroParisTech, Université Paris-Saclay), INSERM, Généthon, Génopole, and others. BioConvS brings together public and private sector players and benefits from €12.5 million in funding from the Ile-de-France region for the 2022-2026 accreditation period. About the call
This call will fund two postdoctoral fellowships for projects at the interface between synthetic biology and health sciences, at a fundamental or applied level. It will be open from October 30, 2024, to March 2nd, 2025. We will exclusively fund collaborations between at least two academic research teams from the Ile-de-France Region, with at least one team working on synthetic biology, in one of the following DIM axes:
Engineering of life sciences and bioproduction
Development of therapeutic proof-of-concepts
New high-throughput and standardized analytical methods
Digital tools or AI to improve data analysis or modeling in quality control and production methods
Ensuring inclusive, responsible, and sustainable BioConvergence
Collaboration between a synthetic biology team and a team working on biotherapies is highly encouraged and will be a plus in the evaluation.
Additional teams may participate in the project to provide complementary specific expertise without geographic limitation. Teams outside the Ile-de-France region will not be funded.
Start-ups and companies from the Ile-de-France region may also be associated with the project but will not be funded under this call. The participation of a company in the project will be a plus.
